This article is the result of a conversation I had with my AI assistant. We agreed that Intel CPUs are unlikely to be able to train neural networks because their parallel processing capabilities are far behind those of GPUs. If they are, they can only train very small networks. While they don’t train networks, the AI in Intel CPUs is certainly capable of using pre-trained networks.
These neural networks need to be updated regularly when they are retrained. It probably updates the CPU of a running machine through a new version of software like Intel Management Engine Components.
